Our featured artwork for May is Thea Peterson.

Both Thea’s Mother and Father were California artists. Her first memories are of interesting people in their home. There was always art, literature and music. Thea has always been fascinated with the human figure. She loves the unspoken emotions, the untold story and the challenge of light and dark that plays across underlying anatomy. Thea works with acrylics, oils, and pastels.

Come in to the Northwest Cellars Urban Winery & Tasting Room in Kirkland to check out the beautiful paintings; they’ll be on display all month.

Join us for Second Thursday Art & Wine Walk on May 14, beginning at 4pm at the Kirkland Warehouse Wineries in Kirkland, WA. You can meet the artist, and each winery (Northwest Cellars, Skylite Cellars, Waving Tree Winery) will have a different artist in their space. There will be snacks, music … and wine! 

We’ll also have live jazz and blues from Katie and Chris Morton from 5-8pm
